He is survived by: his wife Alicia Alvarez of Roberts, Idaho; and his children, Erika (Manuel) of Iona, Julie Garcia (Samuel) of Menan, Jessica Alvarez of Wilmington, Delaware, Manuel Alvarez (Erica) of Idaho Falls, Martin (Eloisa) of Idaho Falls and Roy Alvarez of Roberts, Idaho. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
