He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Afton Barfuss Thompson and Dell Louis Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Mortensen Thompson; his children, Taunya Kunzler (Stephen), Sarah Dawson (Chad), Taylor Thompson, Jenelle West (Zach) and Natalie Snyder (Mike); and his siblings, Monte Dell Thompson and Gloria Rae Thompson Harrison. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Acequia 2nd Ward. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Latter-Day Saints Chapel (20403 5th St, Rupert, ID 83350).
