He was predeceased by: his wife Reah Mildred Jolley; his parents, David Willis Tarkalson and Niota Louise Bolin; and his sisters, Sherry Lou Strauser Hokanson and Dawna Rae Tarkalson.
He is survived by: his children, David Dale Tarkalson (Marilyn) of Twin Falls, ID, Eric James Tarkalson (Ashley) of Salmon, ID, Keith Aaron Tarkalson (Pam) of Las Vegas, NV, Becky Jo Hone (Heath) of Shelley, ID and Megan Louise Welch (Mike) of Frisco, TX. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (91 ID-28, Salmon, ID 83467). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the LDS Church.
