He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Modesto and Felicita Modesto (Galasso); his wife Rita Conlon; his siblings, Pia Pezzetta (Peter), Santina Elmatti (Andrew), Basilio (Peggy), Ermo (Joan), Erminio (Evelyn), Spema Johnson (Bill), Mario (Rose) and Walter (Betty); and his brothers-in-law, Bernard (Theresa) and Ken Conlon.
He is survived by: his children, Ryan Modesto (Carol) of Green Valley and JoAnne Farmin (Dan) of Sandpoint; his grandchildren, Kelly Farmin (Sean Mirus), Ryan Farmin (Sabrina), Sarah Vicuña (Carlos) and Melissa Modesto; his great grandchildren, Palmer, Sawyer Farmin, Luna and Liliana Vicuña; his sister-in-law Claire Conlon (late Ken); and his cousin Sharon Oliver of Sudbury. He is also survived by numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews.
