He is survived by: his sons, Brock Kluver of Sandpoint, Mike Shields (Sarah) of Spokane and Father Alvin Kluver of Sandpoint; his grandchildren, Nora, Elli and Wyatt Shields; and his siblings, Steve Kluver (Pixie) of Sandpoint and Julie Langwell (Tom) of Sandpoint. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
