He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Strobel and Gwendolyn Strobel (Waltman); his wife Mary Lou; his stepfather Eugene Ellingson; and his sister Roxanne Clifton.
He is survived by: his children, Lindsy Strobel of Osburn, ID and Katie Murray (Matt) of Mullan, ID; his grandchildren, Ayden and Alivia Murray; and his brother Scott Ellingson of Kennewick, WA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
