It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Charles Lakey of Soda Springs, Idaho, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Lakey and Faye Lakey; his siblings, Lois Lakey, Loney Lakey and Dwight Lakey; and his parents-in-law, Leith and Virijean Somsen.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Lakey of Soda Springs; his children, Derek (Lisa Lakey) and Hayley (Babe Meyers); his grandchildren, Kasey, Tanner, Tayler, Coby, Megan and Mya; his sister Julie Lakey; and his siblings-in-law, Terre Lakey, Steve Somsen (Louise) and Randy Somsen (Cherese). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
