He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hurd; his children, Melanie Steed-Hildebrand (Max), Carolyn Blackner (Shane), Shawn Steed, Shirley Steed and Connie Sweat (Bruce); and his daughter-in-law Cara Southworth Steed. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
