She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrit Staley and Ellen Perkins Staley; and her brothers, Lorenzo, Robert, James, Alvin and Johnny.
She is survived by: her husband John Layman; her daughter Mattson of Nevada; and her granddaughters, Ellena Puckett and Rita Spackman.
