She was predeceased by: her husband Dieter Steinmann; her parents, Margarete Sommerkorn and Karl Sommerkorn; and her brothers, Karl and Reinhold.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Lindsay; and her children, Annette (Dave Baty), Ed Steinmann (Jena), Jeff Steinmann (Deniece) and Anna.
