“I had the pleasure of working with Jim at the BLM from 2015 until his retirement. He always made time to identify plants and answer tough questions in the office. In the field, he shared his experience of changes in the landscape over time, so that we would know what was possible. He had strong opinions but still sought common ground. He was a good man, I'll miss him, and I wish his family peace in remembrance of him.”
