She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cleo Shorthouse and Dortha Shorthouse; her siblings, Dave Shorthouse and Pat Walsh; her husband Scott David Baumert; her children, Nick Baumert, Jenny Taylor (Baumert), Karen (Irwin), Larry Taylor and Kay; her grandchildren, Katelynn, Kylie (Nick), Kelsie, Beau, Victoria and Scotlyn (Jenny); her great grandchild Carmen (Kelsie); Bethel.

There is no doubt as she entered the Kingdom of God she heard the words "Well done good and faithful servant."In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to their favorite charities in Kay's name.
