She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Neiwert and Ruth Neiwert (Schorzman); her former husband William Young; her husband Emery Petersen; her son David B. Petersen; and her brother Leonard Neiwert.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Summers (Steven) and Douglas Petersen. She is also survived by her five grand-children and by her great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (209 5th Ave N, Twin Falls, ID 83301).
