He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval E. Epperson and Ethel M. Epperson (Bloss); and his brothers, Carl, Gerald and Eddie.
He is survived by: his wife Bettie L. Lark; his children, Dennis K. Epperson (Torrie) of Mulvane, Denise J. Brewer (Vince) of Frisco, Dana R. Epperson (Rebecca) of Rockford and Darren M. Epperson (Jaylene) of Sherman, Illinois; his brothers, Keith Epperson (Shirley) of Rothville and Donnie Epperson (Shirley) of Marceline, Missouri; his stepsisters, Linda of Joplin, Patsy of Joplin, Phyllis of Joplin and Sandy of Joplin; his grandchildren, Blake Epperson (Melissa), Riley Epperson (Amber), Eric Brewer (Sarah), Kendra Brewer, Kathleen Brewer-Sinclair (Matt), Tyler Epperson, Andrew Epperson, Josephine Epperson, Joseph Epperson (Ashley), Madison Epperson, Sean Cullinane, Stephen Cullinane (Krysta) and Katie Huffman (JR); and his great grandchildren, Dean, Isaac, Valerie, Charlotte, Nolan, Elizabeth, Aiden, Kyra and Miles. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Abingdon Cemetery (501 W Memorial Dr, Abingdon, IL 61410). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Abingdon American Legion 546 (546 IL-41, Abingdon, IL 61410).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be offered to the Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381.
