He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F Skarbek and Mary Skarbek (Gnat); his wife Mary Anne Skarbek; and his brothers, John Skarbek (Bernice) and Theodore Skarbek (Phyllis).
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Connelly (late John), Matthew Skarbek (Marilyn) and Andrew Skarbek; his granddaughters, Lara Skarbek, Sabrina Skarbek and Grace Skarbek; his sister Mary Jane Hastings (Donald); his nieces and nephews, Barbara DeFalco, Tom Maguire, Joseph J Maguire (Rachel), Kathryn Smith (Jason) and Lauren Hastings; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gina Fabbrini (Bryan), Jospeh T (JT), Maverick Maguire, Drew, Drake Smith, Sophia and Evan Hastings; Bennett Fabbrini. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Humes Funeral Home (320 W Lake St, Addison, IL 60101). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church (1233 W Holtz Ave, Addison, IL 60101). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
