She is survived by: her children, Valerie Castro (Nefty) and Patrick Newsome; her grandchildren, Adriana Salinas (Najeeb), Alex Newsome, Nefty Ortiz (Megan), Jacob Newsome, Justice Newsome and Jayden Newsome; her great grandchild Alaya Al-Amin; and her sibling Eufemia Ann Medina.
