Mara Peros Obituary
We announce the death of Mara Peros of Addison, Illinois, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 93. Mara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Boze Grancarich and Ivana Grancarich (Pavich); her husband Ive; her sons, Benko Peros and Mirko Peros; her siblings, Ana and Ive; and her brother-in-law Veljko Matesic.
She is survived by: her daughter Mira Schmidle (William); her godson Dino Peros; her sister Milka Matesic; and her nieces and nephews, Tanja Matesic, Marin Matesic (Dalida), Marina Matesic and Dario Matesic. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Humes Funeral Home (320 W Lake St, Addison, IL 60101). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church (2823 S Princeton Ave, Chicago, IL 60616).
