He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Eileen Blakely; and his brother Jerome Blakely (Beatrice). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Porcelli; his children, Mary Eileen VanTholen (George), Linda Blakely, William "Billy" Blakely (late Sue) and Edward Blakely (Heidi); his grandchildren, Brian VanTholen, Dana Sanzotti (Erik), Shaun VanTholen, Stefanie Blakely and Jessica Blakely; and his siblings, Robert Blakely (Darlene), Eileen Conroy (Michael) and Patricia Schuster (Bruce). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Humes Funeral Home (320 W Lake St, Addison, IL 60101). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
