He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Peterson and Myrtle Johnson Peterson; his wife Marilyn L. Bryant; and his siblings, Harry Peterson, Lavern "Bud" Peterson, Ione Shike and Gladys Carlson.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Bowman (Brad) of St. Johns, FL, Karen Schwartzkopf (Doug) of West Bend, IA, Deanna Nicholas (Bryan) of Sarasota, FL and Michael Peterson (Vicki) of Aledo, IL; his aunt Audrey Bryant of Joy, IL; and his brother-in-law Roger Smallwood of Alexis, IL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fippinger Funeral Home (401 S College Ave, Aledo, IL 61231). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be left to Messiah Lutheran Church of Aledo.
