Helen Dahl Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Dahl of Aledo, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rex LeRoy Dahl; and her sisters, Betty Scharer and Karen Frerkes. She is survived by: her children, Susan Bigham (Jim) of Aledo, Vicki Gladfelter (Don) of Milan and Jeff Dahl (Debbie) of Edmond, Oklahoma; her siblings, Marilyn Ihlefeld, Patty Sackville, Rita Breitmeyer, Gary Frerkes and Terry Frerkes; her grandchildren, Christie Harrison (Jessie), Jamie Breeden (Matt), Brent Bigham (Angie), Bridget Wilkerson (Josh), Allison Gladfelter Kispersky (Vince), Adam Gladfelter (Ana) and Kelsey (Rickey); and her brothers, Jordan Dahl (Megan) and Jacobi Amend (Donnie). She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Catherine's Catholic Church (106 NE 4th St, Aledo, IL 61231). Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to St. Catherine's church in Aledo.
