It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen L. O'Brien-Haddick of Aledo, Illinois, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Louise Oaks Neal and Oscar Neal; and her sisters-in-law, Christine and Judy. She is survived by: her sister Carol Ann; her caregiver Robert Haddick; her children, Rachel Zimmerman (Clint), Kate Ham (Joe), Dr. Matt O'Brien (Paula), Andrew O'Brien (Sharon) and Michael O'Brien (Erin); her grandchildren, Maci, Eva, Quinn, Holt, Rhett, Coy, Isabella, Olivia, Tristan, Trace, Kieran, Avery, Elijah, Liam, Ethan, Ruth, Edith, Abram, Michael and Elisabeth; and her siblings, Dr. Stephen Neal, Lowell Neal (Rose), Gloria Salazar (Gil), Carol McCrery (Denny) and Dr. Trevor Neal. She is also survived by her family, her friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Speer Funeral Home (2502 SE 3rd St, Aledo, IL 61231). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the family to support ministry outreach.
