She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Payne and Thelma Payne (Meadows); her husband Melvin Dale Way; her stepdaughter Lori Way; and her siblings, William McGuire and Barbara Jones.
She is survived by: her children, LeAnne Guyton, Milan, Christine Brower (Tom), Carla Britton (Mark) and Jodi Herzberg; her stepsons, Ken Way (Sally) and Ronnie Way; and her sisters, Janice Leishing (Jared), Milan and Sharon Kaye Wheeler. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
