He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Hanson and Evelyn Carty Hanson; his wife Sooky; his son Jim Hanson; and his sister Harriet Barfield.
He is survived by: his son Karl Hanson (Staci) of Seaton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jesse Hanson (Alyssa) of Danville, Noah Hanson (Jenna Bushong) of Kirkwood, Carli Robison (Bob) of Washington, Cassie Hanson of Seaton, Claire Hanson of Seaton, Cleo Hanson of Seaton and Cylie Hanson of Seaton; and his sisters, Linda Edwards of Oak Park and Mary Noble of Oregon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Presbyterian Church (780 State Hwy 94, Aledo, IL 61231). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Candor Cemetery (Pope Creek Cemetery) (442 160th St, Aledo, IL 61231).
