Myrtle J. McWhorter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle J. McWhorter of Aledo, Illinois, who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Mizner and Treva Loumita "Lou" Mizner (Doss); her husband James McWhorter; her grandson Dustin McWhorter; and her siblings, Joyce Kernan, Shirley "Annie" Kiddoo and Alvin Mizner.
She is survived by: her stepfather Harold Wagoner; her children, Randy (Vickie McWhorter), Kevin McWhorter of Clarence, MO and Stacy (Brian Dillavou); her sister Micky Lawson of Geneseo; her great grandchildren, Bryanna and Chris Paige; her children, Cayden, Grayson, Oliver, Blake Dillavou, Tyler McWhorter, Wendi and Shawn Riecke; her grandchildren, Ben and Olivia; her daughter Brandi Boyer; her grandchildren, Reece, Maddox and Levi; her children, Jason Stockwell, Steven and Dita McWhorter; and her grandchild Angel.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Speer Funeral Home (2502 SE 3rd St, Aledo, IL 61231). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry or the Mercer County Crisis Center.
