She was predeceased by : her parents, Eldon Palmer and Sylvia Elwood Palmer; her husband Harold "Spike" Heck; and her sister Lorie Gibson. She is survived by : her son Tom Buttgen (Dee) of Cambridge; her stepchildren, Jody Heck of Milwaukee, Jane Kenney of Davenport, Iowa and David Heck of Streamwood, Illinois; her grandchildren, Angela, Thomas John, Charles, Marlaina and Nichole; her stepgrandchildren, Daniel, Jena and Davis; and her sister Kathy Vincent of Cambridge. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Mercer County Agricultural Society or the Cambridge Ambulance Service.
