He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Bemis and Jane Bemis (Thayer); his wife Norma; and his brother Mike Bemis. He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Bemis, Jean (Kurt Kozma) and Georgia (Mike Vogt); his grandchildren, Hannah Vogt, Erik and Kareena Vogt; his great grandchildren, Layton, Peter and Annalia; his sister Barbara Bemis (Ruth Robarge); and his stepbrother Jim Bemis (Sherry).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Speer Funeral Home (2502 SE 3rd St, Aledo, IL 61231). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry.
