He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Sr. Stephenson and Frances Stephenson (Farmer); his former wife Sally Gleason; and his significant other Cheri Adams. He is survived by: his close friend Cheri of Jacksonville; his children, Reggie Stephenson (Linda) of Ashland, Shelley Shive (Don) of Ashland and Justin Stephenson of Alexander; his stepdaughter Angie March; his grandchildren, Cassie Veach (Chris), Brendon Little (Kara) and Rachel Little; his stepgranddaughter Megan March; and his siblings, Wendell "Junior" Stephenson of Jacksonville, Wanda Speaker of Louisville, KY and Brenda Matthews (Dick) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville, IL 62650).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Prairieland Heritage Museum or Jacksonville Speedway.
