He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Terpening and Corinne Terpening (Johnson). He is survived by: his children, Edward D. Terpening (Polly) of Victoria, Michelle Terpening of Knoxville, Brett Neice (Billie) of Alexis, Brian Neice (Bobbie) of Alexis and Jeffrey Neice of Williamsfield, IL; and his siblings, Janet Drummond (Pete) of Benld, IL, Marjorie Gray of Galesburg, Roger Terpening (Darcy) and Jerry Terpening (Kathie) of Abbeville, LA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; one great-grandson.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McGuire and Davies Funeral Home (1007 North G Street, Monmouth, IL 61462). The military honors was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM at the same location.
