Debra K. Nelson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra K. Nelson of Algonquin, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Debra had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Debra may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Balk and Gladys Balk; her sister LaVonne Huizenga; and her brother-in-law Jesse Suter (Terry Nelson). She is survived by: her children, Shannon McHugh (Ted) and PJ Gluchman (Michelle); her granddaughter Emily Gluchman; and her siblings, Kathy Suter and Terry Balk (Donna). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
