He was predeceased by: his brother William Breytung. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Breytung (Torok); his children, James Breytung (Barbara), Sandra Breytung and Paula Clesen (Jim); his grandchildren, Heather Hertz (Bryan), Lucas Breytung (Annie), Jordyn Clesen and Heidi Clesen; and his great grandchildren, Emily (Katie), Kora, James and Porter.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial gifts be designated for St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 Jefferson St., Algonquin, IL. 60102.
