In the sacred silence of farewell, Russell is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Russell's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Forscythe. He is survived by: his wife Judy Purcell; his daughters, Kim Michele Hodges, Kelly Lynn Skepnek (Randal) and Kristi Keefe (Timothy); and his granddaughters, Kenna Sudderth (Nicholas) and Kylie G. Rowan (Riley).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the DeFiore Funeral Home (10763 Dundee-Huntley Rd, Huntley, IL 60142). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
