Catherine Lynn Richmond Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Lynn Richmond of Alhambra, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2026 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother Matthew Hackethal; and her grandparents, Catherine Carruba, Bernard and Marion Hackethal. She is survived by: her parents, Randy Hackethal and Jane Hackethal (Carruba) of Alhambra; her children, Tyler Hackethal of Alhambra, Shane Carney of Granite City, Brennen Carney of Alhambra, Landen Richmond of Alhambra and Lilyian Richmond of Alhambra; her brother Michael Hackethal (Carolyn) of Alhambra; her niece Morgan Hackethal; her grandfather Anthony Carruba Sr.; and her pets, Layne and Nova. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Granite City A.P.A. in honor of Cathy's love for animals.
