He was predeceased by: his parents, Ehrhardt Gehrig and Irma Gehrig (Foster); his wife Virginia Lee "Ginger" Gehrig; his brother Don Gehrig (Ginny); his sister-in-law JoAnn Frey (Bob); and his parents-in-law, Robert and Frieda Wayne (Schneider).
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn A. Gehrig of Saint Peters, MO, Jeffrey W. Gehrig of Alhambra, IL and JoAnn G. Savoie (Jason) of Kingwood, TX; his grandchildren, Nicole L. King (David), Chase M. Griffey, Erin N. Dallas (Derek) and Alexandra M. Colón; his great grandchildren, Chandler Griffey, Emmitt M. King, Sophie Jo King, Virginia Dallas, Sloane Dallas, Micah Goss-Kozney (Bryce) and Dacota Blevins; Stacie Blevins (Tom).
