He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Saltsgaver and Nedra Saltsgaver (Osmon); his grandchildren, Haylie Weiss and Chris Turpin; and his siblings, Betty Bates, Bob Saltsgaver and John Saltsgaver.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane (Emmons); his children, Teresa Saxe (Kenny), Brian Saltsgaver (Katrina), Cindy Thornton (Jim), Nancy Gibson, George Weiss (Kimberly) and Todd Weiss (Katerine); his grandchildren, Miranda Woods (Tyler), Megan, Brock Ward Saltsgaver, Andrew Williams, Alix Brewer, Grant Williams, Emeily Hall, Robert Tomblinson (Jamie), Chad Risley (Malara), Shamber Weiss (Heath Weinberger), Takoma Weiss, Sammy Weiss (Steven Seals), Samantha Weiss, Nathan Weiss, Kaylee Dohm (Steven), Chelsea Hufford (Jack) and Sean Gunzel (Jade Scott); and his siblings, Charles Saltsgaver (Judy) and Earlene Dudley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Keepes Funeral Home (1500 N Cherry St, Mt Carmel, IL 62863). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Allendale Cemetery.
