He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Sanders and Ida Ellen Sanders (Williams); his significant other Lisa Witsman Wilkinson; and his sisters, Stacy Don Sanders, Alicia Shawn Sanders and Sandra Parrott.

He is survived by: his children, Deonna Sanders, Lachrista Lutz and Ashley Wilkinson; his grandsons, Jacob and Clyde Wilkinson; his sister Cheryl Windes; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn Potts, Justin Prater, Jessilynn Lutz, Bethany Lutz, Raiden Doan, Logan Wilkinson and Lonna Wilkinson. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
