We announce the death of Diane K Peterson of Alpha, Illinois, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 79. Diane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Bubon and Virginia Crouch Bubon; her husband Chester Arno Peterson; and her granddaughter Jennifer. She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Dianne Shaner (Jeff) of Mayville, Dewain Peterson (Kirsten) of Manteno and Toni Dyan Peterson of Woodhull, Illinois; her grandchildren, Stacy, Jessica, Jacob, Dylan, Kevin, Nathan, Lauren, Jaimie, Austin, Christopher Jr., Shane and Luke; her brother Kent Bubon of Alpha; and her pet Maisie. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home (111 S 1st St, Alpha, IL 61413). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Alpha Cemetery.
