With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edith Peden of Alpha, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Edith left this world on June 26, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Edith may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern Wiren and Mary Abbott Wiren; her husband Donald Peden; and her sisters, Etha Briggs and Ethel Irving.

She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Gillette (Dennis) of Galesburg, Todd Peden of Alpha and Debra Weber (Terry) of Boone, Iowa. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be left to the Alzheimer's Association or to Cat N Around Rescue.

“We were so sorry to see that Edie had passed. She was such a kind & caring person. I first got to know her when she became my Avon Lady. My husband knew her through his parent's church & community things. We moved away from Alpha many years ago & had not seen Edie for several years.
