We announce the death of Janice H Brockett of Alsip, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 77. Janice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Kanaverskis and Mary Kanaverskis (Soprych). She is survived by: her husband Jerry Brockett; her children, Jerry (Lisa) and James (Charolette); her grandchildren, Sara (Jake), Amanda (Mitch), Luke (MaryKaye), Jake (Rachel), Heather and Jessi; her great grandchildren, Dominic, Brooklyn, Luke, Rylee and Emma; and her siblings, Ronald (Melody), Sharon (Larry), Denis (Carol) and Michelle (John).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, or Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in memory of Janice.
