With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jose L. Quintana of Alsip, Illinois, who passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jose Sr. Quintana and Margarita Quintana; his wife Maria J. Quintana; his children, Lisa Dexter (Walter), Nicole Quintana, Dana Quintana and Jaclyn Baum (Eric); his grandchildren, Skylaar, Cristian and Amelia; his former wife Janet Quintana; and his siblings, Norma, Fred, Rico, Ivette, Orlando and Elisier. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel (649 E 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (649 E 162nd St, South Holland, IL 60473). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
