Eloise Alma McGuire Obituary
We announce the death of Eloise Alma McGuire of Altamont, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 86. Eloise will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Bandelow and Alma Bandelow (Voelker); her husband Calvin McGuire; her brothers, Marvin and Ralph; and her siblings-in-law, Howard "Pete" McGuire and Nola Lee Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Michael McGuire (Kathy) of Edgewood, Jeff McGuire of Franklin, Tennessee, Sally Mayhaus (Jeff) of Edgewood and Sarah Jahraus (Joe) of Effingham, Illinois; her grandchildren, Ben McGuire, Laura McGuire, Allison Meyer (Andy), Jacob Jahraus (Nicole), Derek Jahraus, Ryan Mayhaus (Lauren), Adam Mayhaus (Danielle) and Leah Mayhaus; her great grandchildren, Jax, Remi, Jade, Gwen, Mila, Cal, Chloe and Adaline; and her sister-in-law Judy McGuire. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (203 E Division St, Altamont, IL 62411). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Care Center or Donor's choice.
