It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George William Fritcher (Altamont, Illinois), born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Fritcher and Hattie Fritcher (Bishop); and his siblings, Danny Fritcher, Fred Fritcher, Ted Fritcher, Jack Fritcher, James E. Fritcher, Diane Fritcher, Betty Oxier, Judy Hatfill and Shirley Sears.
He is survived by : his wife Margaret Fritcher of Altamont; his children, Michael Fritcher (Cynthia) of Brunswick, GA, Kenneth Fritcher (Amanda) of Altamont, William Fritcher (Julie) of Neoga, Steve Fritcher (Jenni) of Effingham, Patricia Forbes (Dan) of Trafalgar, IN, Cheryl Haworth (Tim) of Mitchell, IN and Mary Starwalt (Jerry Smith) of Altamont; and his siblings, Larry Fritcher (Judy) of Bloomington, Dennis Fritcher (Barbara) of St. Elmo, David (Teresa) of Effingham, Marilyn Smith of Normal, Vicki Osteen of Effingham, Sharon Fritcher of Effingham, Linda Riley of St. Elmo and Alice Shelton of Normal, IL.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
