With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan I. Simcox of Altamont, Illinois, born in Kinmundy, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Clifford V. Hawkey and Nita F. Hawkey (Smith); her spouse Loy M. Simcox; and her brother Lyle Hawkey. She is survived by : her sons, Brett M. Simcox (Christine) of Altamont and Brad S. Simcox (Deb) of Altamont; her siblings, Edward Hawkey (Sue) of Kinmundy and Marlene Thesen of Warminster, PA; her grandchildren, Brandon Simcox, Brittany Miller (Jared), Bryce Simcox (Alexandra) and Ashley Sloan (Joel); and her great grandchildren, Payton, Parker, Phoenix, Chloe, Phinley, Cassidy, Malichi and Grant.
