He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward M. DeVantier and Pauline M. DeVantier (Wolff); and his brother-in-law Sam Casleton. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn L. Ingle; his daughter Kristen Duesdieker (Bart); his siblings, Joanie Casleton of Moberly, MO, Denise Stine (Gordy) and Bruce DeVantier (Karen); and his grandchildren, Taylor Antosch (Jonah) and Eric Duesdieker of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for the benefit of Hope Lodge, St. Louis, Missouri.
