It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert L. Harder (Altamont, Illinois), who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert L. Harder to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Casey Harder and Madonna Harder (Brandt); his brother James Harder; his siblings-in-law, Jacquelynn Harder, Cecilia "Sis" Harder and Donald Eugene (Monte H Galloway); and his parents-in-law, Wiley H and Marion Galloway (Brooks).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Galloway; his children, Rob Harder of Altamont, Sara Harder of Paxton and Kara Miller (Jeff) of Altamont; his grandchildren, Madison "Matt" Fritscher (McKenzie Dial) of Paxton and Robert Harder (Christiana Wittenmyer) of Terre Haute, IN; his great grandchild Lowry Fritscher of Paxton; his siblings, Carol Dammerman (Gene) of Anna and David Harder of Leesburg, FL; his sister-in-law Susanne Galloway of Altamont; and his close friends, Danielle Mayhaus (Adam), Cal of Effingham and Wyatt Vaughn (Elise) of Collinsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Union Cemetery (10641 County Rd 300 E, Altamont, IL 62411).
Memorials may be made to Altamont First United Methodist Church, Haven of St. Elmo, or the donor's choice.
