He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Pitchford and Marie Pitchford (Thomas); his wife Margaret Ann Barrow; and his brothers, Clyde Earl and Kenneth Ray Pitchford.
He is survived by: his sister Gladys Hindelang of Edwardsville; his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Craig, Brian Hindelang, Julie Burgess, Linda Allen (Jim) and Charlotte Hill (Clint); and his aunts, Dorothy Hazelwonder and Leona Hawkins.
