Carolyn Ann Carrow Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Ann Carrow (Alton, Illinois), who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carrol and Thelma Peters (Shaw); her husband Dr. James Carrow; and her stepsons, Timothy Carrow and Dennis Carrow.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Dr. Christopher Carrow (Caren), Mary Ellen Heintz (William Charles Heinz), Dr. Martin J. Carrow (Linda), Mary Margaret Kopsie (Michael), Mary Ann Jamieson, John Roy Carrow (Dana) and Mary Genevieve "Genna" Adams (Sam); and her daughters-in-law, Janice Carrow (Tuttle) and Linda Carrow (Stemm). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Gent Funeral Home (2409 State St, Alton, IL 62002). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church (820 West Homer Adams Pkway, Godfrey, IL 62035).
Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the 5A's Animal Shelter.
