He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Scheffel and Eileen Scheffel (Nelder); and his siblings, Sue Eppel (Bob) of Godfrey, Warren Scheffel of Alton and William Scheffel (Helen) of Sanibel, FL. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Brighton Cemetery (304 N Maple St, Brighton, IL 62012).
Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ in Brighton.
