He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph "Rudy" Fischer and Frances Fischer (Miller); his wife Betty Jane; his daughter Melody; and his son-in-law Randy Garrett.
He is survived by: his daughter Trisha Cox of Alton; his grandchildren, Madison Cox (Konner Henke) of Staunton, Brennan Cox (Isabell) of Jerseyville and Miranda Garrett; and his brother Jerry Strasser (Kathleen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
