It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Mae Hood in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Rigdon and Beaula Rigdon; and her siblings, Carshall, Leroy, Stanley, Jenny, Iona and Debby.

She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Hood of Myrtle Beach; her grandchildren, Ashley Hood (Josh Gibson) and Kate Lema (Antonio Lema); her great grandchild Ava; and her siblings, Caroline, Clarence (Judy Rigdon) and Earl (Beth Rigdon). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
