Dorothy Whyte, born on June 7, 1929, passed away on September 19, 2026. Dorothy leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitford I. Moxey and Julia P. Moxey (Howrey); her husband David B. Whyte; and her siblings, Orval, Mitford, Ross, Charles Moxey, Nina Wilson and Mary Dillow.
She is survived by: her children, Billie Sundberg (Kenneth) of Godfrey, Frank Whyte (Kathy) of Estes Park, CO, David Whyte and Mathew Whyte (Gina) of Estes Park, CO.; and her brothers, Joe Moxey and Phillip Moxey (Marie). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Abundant Church (3986 Humbert Rd, Alton, IL 62002). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Panama Mission through Abundant Life Church.
